Guillen Twitter post draws 2-game ban

CHICAGO -- Ozzie Guillen predicted he would lose money after he was ejected from the Yankees-White Sox game on Wednesday, and the White Sox manager wasn't wrong.

MLB announced Guillen was suspended two games and also fined not only for his ejection, but for what he posted on Twitter afterward.

Following the ejection, Guillen tweeted, "This one going to cost me a lot money this is patetic [sic]," and added, "Today a tough guy show up a yankee stadium." MLB prohibits using social media during a game.

It is the first time baseball penalized a player, coach or manager for use of the social networking site during a game. The amount of the fine has not been disclosed.

Guillen was tossed for arguing balls and strikes with plate umpire Todd Tichenor in the first inning of Wednesday's game at the Stadium. against the Yankees.

Guillen was scheduled to miss the White Sox's home games last night and tonight against the Orioles.
