The tired looking main buildings of S21. There's something uniquely obscene about taking a high school built for laughing, chattering children, and turning it into a torture prison, as the Khmer Rouge did here. During their regime, only seven inmates emerged alive from about 20,000 who found themselves here for 'interrogation - and they were considered 'useful' as artists and photographers.
