Since Emily was such a smart cat, she soon found a way outside and – freedom! But wishing for something that seems like fun is not always a good idea. A cat could get into trouble, and sure enough, Emily was soon in trouble again. This time, she really was scared, trapped in a black hole and covered with dirt. How on earth could this have happened? And how could she ever get out of the hole, back to her nice warm bed near the window?

What Emily learned on that summer day is that things are not always what they seem to be. She learned to listen very very carefully. And most of all, she learned that is it a wonderful thing to have good friends.

This is the second volume of “The Tales of Emily.” It is based on the true story of a cat who manages to get herself into some unusual predicaments, how she gets out of them, and what she has learned.
