Lindsay continues her quest to uncover the grim secrets behind the possession of herself and several rich girls at her boarding school in this sequel to Possessions (2009). While details ranging from the girls’ ready access to boys and booze to their freedom from homework and other school-related drudgery are pure wish fulfillment, the plot is chilling: Lindsay discovers that the nineteenth-century girls whose personalities possess each of them were victims of lobotomies performed when the school was an asylum for overly assertive young ladies.
