"I turn 27 this month. On February 27. I've heard that called a "golden birthday," when the age corresponds with the birth date. Perhaps it is all coincidence, but it just feels like something big will happen this month. I don't ask for much, no earthquake or 10-foot blizzard, just something perfect in its own way. If you could get a perfect month every now and then it'd make all the others a little more bearable. To help it along I'll keep this journal every day, faithfully, which would be about the most religious thing I've done since my first communion. It's a drastic measure to take, I know, but I really want a Perfect Month. It is perfect on the calendar. February this year has four seven-day weeks, all of them laid out perfectly from Sunday to Saturday, forming one neat rectangle on the calendar."
