Joe Crest is a street-savvy Hollywood freelance writer and creative genius. Hobby Newton was born into wealth and indulges himself with expensive toys, living aboard his favorite possession, his yacht Lazybuns. He is slight of stature and baby-faced, but this multi-black belt martial arts expert is no one to mess with. Joe and Hobby have been close buddies since they teamed up in the Army during the Vietnam era.
Their favorite pastime is poker, especially Texas hold’em, but often while trying to enjoy the game they are caught up in situations of intrigue or duplicity when unscrupulous characters attempt to play unfairly. Their pursuit of the game takes them across the country, to foreign shores, and into adventures on land, in the air, even under water.
